Reverting a users changes

Hello,

In our system sometimes we make releases without some developers commits because of time limit.

For example I made some changes in login class but another user did also. And I have to commit after removing his changes. So I scan my file with previous versions so that I can revert his changes. But it's a painful process.

Is there another way to do that? Maybe an extension or a script?

We use clearcase

Migration from CC/CQ/RP to RTC

I am planning to migration from CC/CQ/RP to RTC later this year. The ClearCase migration could take a year or so. Would you recommend upgrading from 7.0.1/7.1.2 to 8.x knowing we are moving later? I am NOT planning on the schema upgrade. Also, would you recommend rolling out CTE if going to RTC?

Hello,

We are getting Errors while check-in some of the files. We are using Clearcase v6.0 on Solaris v10.0 Server. We get different kinds of errors as below. Please also suggest editing (removing Bad Characters) the Source Container is recommeneded for VOB or not.

Error.1 text_file_delta_ Error

We used "chtype" option and "perl -pi -e 's/\x00//g' r_nc_if.c" options to resolve these issues.
Some times, above given perl command worked fine. Now, even that also not working. We are in big trouble. We are working for One of the major Product. Since, we need to release CM Builds every week. It became so problamatic for us with these issue. I studied in one of the Tech Note that to rename the Source Container and run "checkvob". Is it true?

Please help me to get resolve this issue. Thanks a lot in advance.
