Quality Assurance Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Development QA Manager

Job Objectives: Responsible for the creation, execution, and ongoing maintenance of test cases/conditions throughout the testing lifecycle. Will work closely with the business and development to complete all testing activities on schedule, while balancing release quality with test coverage. Will support test efforts with moderate to significant risk and complexity.

Job Responsibilities:

Participate in the review of business and technical requirements
Establish and maintain requirements traceability with test case coverage
Create and manage to test estimates, strategies, task plans, and schedules
Create and execute test scenarios, cases, conditions, and steps
Record, track, and re-test discovered defects to closure
Assist and support the creation and publishing of test metrics

Minimum Requirements:

Associates or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, and/or equivalent experience
Two or more years work experience in the design and test execution of application function/features
Two or more years work experience in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts
Two or more years work experience in the preparation and maintenance of test data
Two or more years work experience testing client server and/or web based applications
Two or more years work experience using Rational Quality Manager, and/or Functional Tester
Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills
Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
Effective problem solving and multi-tasking skills
Effective attention to detail and follow-through skills

Desired Requirements:

Work experience in the Health Care industry
Work experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio, and Team Foundation Server
Work experience with Rational Requirements Composer and/or Performance Tester
Work experience with CTI integrated applications
Testing experience with VB.NET, ASP.NET, and/or EDI
